Cold foggers (ULV foggers) differ from thermal foggers because they use less insecticide (an ultra-low volume of it).
They also produce a less dense spray and are composed of larger droplets than the fog produced by thermal foggers. The mist from these machines does not penetrate dense foliage as well as that from thermal fogging machines. However, they are quieter, and the fog they produce is less visible than the fog from a thermal machine. This may be desirable in neighborhoods where the appearance of “smoke” may alarm neighbors. ULV foggers are usually powered by electricity or batteries.
