BioAdvanced Complete Insecticide Review

The BioAdvanced Complete Insect Killer will kill a lot of the insects that we might find in our yards. This particular insecticide has two active ingredients that efficiently kill many types of insects:

  • Beta-cyfluthrin (0.36%): A common pyrethroid insecticide that’s quite toxic to fish and invertebrates, but only toxic to humans in large doses.
  • Imidacloprid (0.72%): A systemic insecticide that will interfere with the insects’ central nervous system.

Because this insecticide can be used in the soil as well as on the surface, you can spray it anywhere you suspect that insects live. These active ingredients are effective at combating most insects that live in those places. That’s why this BioAdvanced insecticide is called the Complete Insect Killer.

By using this BioAdvanced Insecticide, you can get rid of not only mosquitoes, but also ticks, ants, fleas, crickets, and many other insects that can make your time outside unbearable.

One single 40 fl. oz. (1183 ml) bottle of this insecticide concentrate will treat an area up to 6667 sq. ft. (619.18 sq. m) in size. One bottle will treat even large yards and lawns, so you won’t have to worry about running out in the middle of treatment.

On top of that, this BioAdvanced insecticide is so powerful that it will kill all the target insects – including mosquitoes – within 24 hours of treatment. So, after one day, you’ll be able to delete the word “insect” from your vocabulary.

Even if you live in a rainy area, you can still use this product because, after just one hour, the insecticide becomes rainproof, keeping surface insects away for 30 days. It will stay in the soil for up to 3 months to help keep your soil insect free, too.

Summary

If you need to treat mosquitoes as well as other insects, you should definitely look into this BioAdvanced insecticide. It uses powerful active ingredients that will kill insects quickly without being harmful to you or your pets.

Simply spray the insecticide on your lawn, around the perimeter of your backyard, and even in the soil. You’ll see immediate results, enabling you to forget about all insects, including mosquitoes, for at least 30 days and enjoy your time outdoors again.

I have earthworms all over my lawn. They leave little mounds that are dark in color.

Do you have a product available that will get rid of the earthworms and grubs at the same time. I will have about 1/2 acre to treat.

If you do have a recommended product, where can I purchase it?

    Karen

You could try using Sevin SL Carbaryl Insecticide. It contains Carbaryl which is very toxic to earthworms. And it will kill grubs as well. Just make sure to follow all the instructions given on the label of the product.

We got some of your indoor spray on a counter top. How do we clean it? Is it dangerous? Only got it on the back.

    Karen

I’d recommend cleaning the countertop thoroughly with some soap water or even with a disinfectant. That should get all of the lingering residue off of the countertop and it will be safe to use again.

Karen, with your experience with mosquitoes, would you use merit as a stand alone product or combine it with an IGR for ground apps? Then alternate with adulticide every other application?

    Karen

If you’re looking for a way to get rid of mosquitoes specifically I’d rather use larvicide for the still water that can’t be dumped and drained since mosquitoes breed in standing water and the larvicide will prevent the mosquito larvae from maturing, and adulticide for the backyard to kill the adult mosquitoes in the area.

I found one – unopened in my shed. It does not smell like a new one ( totally flat no odor). Did it expire?

    Karen

There might be a chance that the product has indeed expired. Usually, Bayer Advanced Insect Killer is good for about 3 to 5 years from the time it was purchased. But that’s only if it has been properly stored. Insecticides can be rendered useless by things like prolonged exposure to cold or hot temperatures, direct sunlight, etc. so if the bottle wasn’t kept at room temperature and out of direct sunlight, even if unopened, the insecticide might have gone bad.

I sprayed this on my vegetable garden and strawberry plants. Can I still eat my vegetables and strawberries? I used the product that attaches to my garden hose.

    Insectcop

The label says not to apply to fruits and vegetables that are used for food. Therefore, I would avoid eating them.

Hello i am planning to use this product at home where in my backyard i have dogs and puppies. A lot of flies lately, will this be toxic to puppies?or dogs?of course i will not directly spray it where the puppies or adult dogs are staying just the perimeter where they are staying

    Karen

As per the label, you have to keep pets away from the area your spraying. And you can let them back into the treated area only after the treatment has dried. You also should remove any pet feeding dishes, toys, etc. from the area before you use this product in it.

Margaret Dillane

Hi, can this be used for insects on par tree leafe? Normal bug killer doesn’t seem to work.

    Insectcop

Since the product label says it can’t be used on fruits and vegetables that are used for food, I would avoid using it on pear trees.

I like the Bayer Complete Insect Killer in liquid form but it always leaves what looks like a blob of rubbery substance on the intake screen of my sprayer wand inside the tank. This requires me to take the sprayer apart to pull this blob off to unplug the spray wand. I have called Bayer but they had no suggestions or comments on this. Bayer is good for bugs but I hate unplugging my sprayer.

Linda

We just discovered what we think are springtail bugs in the house. Found initially by a bathroom sink drain, but now have traveled into the bedroom and finding some on the mattress. What will get rid of these – will the Bayer be effective on these? And can they infest the mattress that it will need disposed of? Thank you for any help you can give us!

    Insectcop

I can’t find springtails on the product label, so I wouldn’t be quick on suggesting it. A good option might be this product
As for the mattress, I don’t think it’s something that happens a lot, at least I haven’t really heard about it. Of course, that doesn’t mean it absolutely couldn’t happen.

Lee

Hi,
I have bird mites that have come inside my home. Do you have a product that will kill them?

    Insectcop

The label does not mention bird mites, so I wouldn’t suggest using the product described in this article. However, this product might be the one you’re looking for!

randy gentis

What if I accidently sprayed Bayer Advanced Complete Insect killer on my garden plants?

    Insectcop

The product shouldn’t be used in vegetable gardens, so, just for a safe measure, I suggest you avoid eating the vegetables affected.

Roger

Will this product kill spiders too

    InsectCop

Yes, spiders are listed among the pests that the Bayer Complete Insect Killer kills on the product label.

ken

will bayer kill roaches outside we had a neighbor move and i am seeing roaches outside

    InsectCop

Yes, as stated on the label, the product can be used to control cockroaches over the home perimeter.

You say “One single 40 flued ounce container of this insecticide concentrate will let you treat an area that is up to 6,667 square feet large, meaning that one packaging will be enough to treat even large back yards and lawn areas. ”

However, that assumes 1/2oz per gallon while the instructions say to use 3oz per gallon for lawns, so it only covers 500 sq ft. What is the right dilution rate for mulch?

    InsectCop

Depending on what the application will be made on, the label suggests using ½ fl.oz per gallon of flowers, shrubs, and trees, while 3 fl.oz should be used along building foundations and on lawn pests.

Bob Thut

Is there any reason why I can’t use the bio advanced insect killer in granular form with a granular fertilizer? They would be spread separately.

    InsectCop

The label doesn’t say anything about using fertilizer but I don’t think that would be a problem. Just to stay safe though, it might not be a bad idea to try it out on a smaller area first.

Richard

I like the Bayer Complete Insect Killer in liquid form but it always leaves what looks like a blob of white rubbery substance on the intake screen of my sprayer wand inside the tank. This requires me to take the sprayer apart to pull this blob off to unplug the spray wand. I have called Bayer but they had no suggestions or comments on this. Bayer is good for bugs but it is a pain to have to unplug my sprayer each time I use it.

Stella

What to do if complete insect killer gets on flowers

    InsectCop

The product is safe for flowers so your plants should be fine.

Rob

Hello, we are being over ran by spiders.. Yikes!! Will your product work on controlling them?

    InsectCop

Yes, it should work on spiders as well.

Benard

May you recommend which one insect killer treatment without person effective? I would like to treat the insect killer to my vegetable garden. I appreciate your help. Thank you

Will it kill rats

    InsectCop

The product is an insecticide, therefore, not labeled to fight rodents. You need to look into rodenticides. You can also check this article to see what your other options are.
